Dr. Russell Gornichec, MD

Dr. Gornichec has always been at the leading edge of surgical intervention for obesity. In 2003, he performed the first laparoscopic gastric bypass in Edmond, Oklahoma and in 2010 he performed the first robotically assisted weight loss surgery in Oklahoma. He then moved his practice to Arkansas and Indiana.

Dr. Russell Gornichec did his schooling from University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center At Dallas and graduated from University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center At Dallas medical school in 1994. He is affiliated with medical facilities Saline Memorial Hospital and King’s Daughters’ Health.
