Founded in 2004, Healthy Outlook is a physician-managed medical weight loss clinic serving Jacksonville, Florida. As a weight-focused center, the clinic combines research-approved methods for weight loss with one-to-one nutrition counseling, psychological support, and continuous health management under medical supervision. Newcomers are given a free consultation including a look-up of their medical history, body composition report, and the creation of an individual health plan based on what they want to achieve. We recommend prescription and non-prescription weight loss methods but we are more interested in lifestyle changes that last through the years instead of just losing weight quickly.

The clinic allows weekly follow-ups where we evaluate how far you’ve gotten, change the medications in case necessary and you will be advised through every stage of your progress. The clinic has several ways of settling the payment including CareCredit, FSA and HSA accounts among other flexible payment options. 

Medical Director

The clinical lead of Healthy Outlook’s weight management initiatives is Dr. Michael O. McKinney who is a licensed primary physician. Dr. McKinney looks after all aspects of treatment so that patients get safe, custom-made care considering that every person is unique given their medical background, body characteristics, and health objectives. Besides his oversight, patients also receive regular follow-ups, medication adjustments, and nutritional support customized to help burn fat while maintaining muscle mass as much as possible. 

GLP-1 and Medical Weight Loss Programs

Healthy Outlook presents an extensive range of medical weight loss programs and GLP-1 medications such as Semaglutide and Tirzepatide for certain patients. Other modalities for weight loss include low-calorie diets with HCG, appetite control drugs like Phentermine prescriptions, Lipo/B12 shots, nutritional planning, body composition tests, mesotherapy and continued weight loss mentoring. The weight loss program of the patient is tailored as his/her health, lifestyle, and loss objectives. Physicians supervise and patients report weekly progress to the doctors.
