Overview
SkinnyMe opened its doors in Rock Hill, South Carolina to aid individuals in achieving and maintaining their healthy weight and optimal wellbeing through medically assisted weight loss plans. The goal is to help every single patient on their journey to their desired weight and provide them with personalized care either face-to-face or via telehealth depending on the individual patient’s needs.
SkinnyMe offers physician supervised plans of care (both behavior modification & medication) as well as weight loss medications (appetite suppressants), peptide injections and therapies, and metabolism injections. All patients will experience continued monitoring of their progress by way of continuous support including behavioral modifications needed throughout the process without dieting.
Medical Director
Although there is not an official medical director listed on the SkinnyMe website, the practice is under the direction of Nancy Boulware. She is the founder of the practice, you can see the clinical director in her position as an RN. Nancy Boulware is a practicing RN for more than 11 years with a strong background in supporting patients in losing weight and living a healthy lifestyle. She is an active participant in the design and administration of the treatment plans for medically supervised overweight and obese individuals, including injectable temptation medications.
GLP-1 and Medical Weight Loss Programs
Through its medically administered weight-loss program, SkinnyMe uses the medications semaglutide and tirzepatide, which are classified as GLP-1 receptor agonists, to help patients manage their hunger and feel fuller, as well as to improve their metabolism and support their ability to keep a caloric deficit.
SkinnyMe also provides patients with structured programs through its Healthier You program, which combines medical oversight with nutrition and behavioral support. In addition, the clinic employs protocols that include the use of HCG-based weight-loss programs and “skinny shot” injections to help with fat metabolism and energy levels.
Weight Loss Program Pricing
SkinnyMe does not provide fixed-price lists for any of their medical weight-loss services on their website; therefore, the costs associated with each service will vary from person-to-person based on the individual’s needs, medical history and the type of prescribed treatment that the patient chooses following their first visit. Attempting to establish a standard price for SkinnyMe medical weight-loss services would not be an accurate way to estimate the total amount that patients will need to spend to complete their programs due to the wide variation among the individualized plans created to meet each patient’s specific needs, evaluation and treatment approaches.
Patient Reviews
Many patient reviews of SkinnyMe on the company’s Google and Yelp pages indicate that clients experience primarily positive experiences when using this clinic as a course of action in their weight-loss journeys. Furthermore, based on the review patterns of prior patients, the majority of comments discuss how supportive of weight-loss efforts the environment is at SkinnyMe, and how supportive the programs are as they proceed through the weight loss process.
