Dr. Mancini joined the faculty as Assistant Professor of Surgery at the University of Tennessee in July, 2006. His clinical practice and academic efforts focus on the area Minimally Invasive Surgery. He presents and teaches extensively both regionally and internationally on the topics of acid reflux, hernia, and bariatric surgery. Dr. Mancini has numerous publications to his credit in the medical literature and actively collaborates in basic science and clinical research.
Dr. Gregory J. Mancini is a graduate of Columbia University in New York City where earned a Bachelor of Arts in History in 1995. He attended medical school at Mercer University School of Medicine in Macon, Georgia where he graduated with honors of Alpha Omega Alpha in 2000. Dr. Mancini moved to Knoxville to begin his residency in general surgery at The University of Tennessee Medical Center.
