Dr. Schniederjan grew up on a farm outside Dalhart, TX, and went to school in Amarillo. In 2010, he earned an agronomy degree from Texas Tech. He earned his medical degree from UTMB in Galveston in 2004. Upon graduation from medical school, he was awarded the Gold Headed Cane by his peers. He was selected Chief Resident of the Year at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas for his advanced laparoscopic and bariatric surgical expertise. After residency, he did a six-month cardiothoracic surgery fellowship at Weill-Cornell. He now resides in NYC with Lacie. He returned home to spend more time with his family.

Bo Neichoy, (M.D.)

Dr. Neichoy was born in Beaumont and raised on High Island, Texas. He graduated from Texas A&M University in biomedical science the following year and moved to Houston to start medical school. Dr. Neichoy began his general surgery training at Gainesville, Florida, in 2007. The University of Florida educated Dr. Neichoy on advanced laparoscopic and minimally invasive techniques, including weight loss surgery. They returned to Texas after completing their surgical residency in Florida. To be nearer to extended family and friends. Dr. Neichoy is an AACS member and board-certified general surgeon. The TMA chose him as a delegate. Every day, he pursues his love for medicine and promoting a healthy lifestyle.

Darren Peterson, (M.D., F.A.C.S.)

Dr. Peterson, a native Texan, has always admired the Red Raiders. He graduated from Texas Tech University in 1990 and worked for Lockheed Martin in Florida for several years before returning to Texas to start a new career. He received a Ph.D. in chemistry and an MS in biology before attending Texas Tech Health Sciences Center. Dr. Peterson’s specialty became Minimally Invasive Laparoscopic and Robotic Surgery. Dr. Peterson joined the Texas Tech University faculty in 2015 as an Associate Professor in the Division of Minimally Invasive Laparoscopic and Robotic Surgery. During this period, he continued to treat Hiatal Hernias and GERD (Heartburn). He is an American College of Surgeons, SAGES, and Society of Laproendoscopic Surgeons fellow (SLS).
