Dr. David Oliak is a fellowship-trained and board-certified bariatric surgeon who is an expert in minimally-invasive robotic and laparoscopic weight loss surgery. He has been practicing in Orange County, California, since 2022 and has successfully completed over 3000 weight loss surgeries with a track record of excellent patient outcomes.
He pursued his medical degree from the prestigious Washington University and was awarded the Dr. Harvey Butcher Prize in Surgery. After completing a residency in general surgery from Harbor-UCLA in Los Angeles, he pursued a laparoscopic weight loss surgery fellowship at Hackensack University Medical Center in New Jersey.
He found the Oliak Center for Weight Loss and was one of the first weight loss surgeons in Orange County and Los Angeles to perform bariatric surgery laparoscopically. He focuses on delivering the best possible bariatric surgery, combined with the best possible outcomes and patient care. He claims to offer 15-20% better weight loss than the industry average.
Dr. Oliak is a member of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery, the American Medical Association, and the International Federation for the Surgery of Obesity and Metabolic Disorders.
