Overview

UniMed Center (“UniMed”) is a New Jersey-based integrative medical practice comprised of moderately (traditional) primary care and internal medicine services; alternative medicine services (i.e. Functional/Complementary Medicine); aesthetic services; and medically-supervised weight-loss programs. We utilize a comprehensive approach to health care and design patient-specific treatment plans that account for each patient’s unique medical history, lifestyle, and long-term wellness goals.

Services include: internal medicine consults; preventive care; nutrition support; and aesthetic services (e.g. injectables, body contouring). To ensure that all of our patients achieve optimal medical and wellness outcomes, we also emphasize patient education, lifestyle modification and coordinated care, all conducted in a structured clinical environment.

Medical Director

UniMed is owned and operated by Dr. Jenny Liu, MD, MS, MRO, LD, a board certified internist who has received advanced training in nutrition and metabolic health. Dr. Liu integrates traditional medicine and nutritional sciences and utilizes complementary (functional) medicine to create comprehensive, individualized treatment plans for our patients. In addition to overseeing all clinical operations and patient care at UniMed, Dr. Liu performs weight management and metabolic health programs ensuring that all treatments provided by UniMed are medically appropriate and tailored to meet the needs of each of our patients.

GLP-1 and Medical Weight Loss Programs

Medically supervised weight loss programs with GLP-1 medications at UniMed Center assist patients with long-term success by regulating hunger, supporting metabolic function and improving feelings of fullness due to these treatments.

Combination therapies include both medication-based GLP-1 weight loss therapy along with other additional support services including nutritional counseling, lifestyles coaching, prescription-weight-deterrence medications and vitamin/lipotropic injections. Every patient receiving GLP-1 medications will have their own unique protocol and will be monitored very closely for both safety and long-term results.

Weight Loss Program Pricing

UniMed Center does not publish fixed fees for GLP-1 medications or medically supervised obesity treatment, as the price for each treatment is determined by many factors, including: type of GLP-1 medication, dosage, duration of therapy and individualized treatment care. All clients interested in receiving GLP-1 therapy are advised to schedule an appointment with UniMed Center to receive an evaluation and an estimate of the price they will be responsible for for their individual health goals.
