Overview
Rittenhouse Women’s Wellness Center (RWWC) is a diverse healthcare practice, dedicated to providing health and wellness exclusively for women. Established in 2008; services include primary care, family medicine, gynecology, nutrition counseling, psychology, fertility support, and aesthetics under one roof. Their practice emphasizes preventive care, early detection of disease, and customized treatment plans to support women through each point in life. By using an integrated model of care, Rittenhouse Women’s Wellness is able to provide their patients’ access to medical, nutritional, behavioral, and wellness services all in one location, which promotes a cooperative approach to healthcare.
Medical Director
Though Rittenhouse Women’s Wellness does not publicly list its Medical Director on any of its marketing promotions, Robert Saltzman is the owner of the organization and founder of Rittenhouse Women’s Wellness Center. The medical staff consists of board-certified Physicians and Nurse Practitioners who are specialized in Women’s Health, Family Medicine and Preventive Health. Among these practitioners are Dr. Leslie Saltzman, MD and Dr. Maria Mazzotti, MD – both are Board-Certified Family Medicine Physicians.
GLP-1 and Medical Weight Loss Programs
The Rittenhouse Women’s Wellness Center has a medical weight loss program using GLP-1 medications, such as the compounded semaglutide, to reduce the appetite, curb cravings, slow down the digestive process, and create feelings of fullness. In order to start the program, you will first have a consultation with your provider (either a nurse practitioner or other primary care provider) where they will review your medical history, risk factors for weight gain, and lab work needed for weight loss medications.
The clinic utilizes a comprehensive approach that provides a holistic approach to gastric-limiting intervention. It combines GLP-1 therapy with exercise, lifestyle changes, and nutritional counseling. Patients are encouraged to work with the clinic’s registered dieticians to develop sustainable weight management strategies after the program has been completed so that they can continue losing weight.
Weight Loss Program Pricing
Based on Rittenhouse Women’s Wellness Center, the price of compounded semaglutide is priced based on dosage and will start at $188 for each four-week starting dosage of the medication. Monthly visits will include a consultation with the nurse practitioner, monitoring of patient vital signs and weight, adjustments of medication as needed, tracking of progress, and education to the patient about the medications received. RWWC indicates that compounded semaglutide is typically not covered by health insurance.
