The founder of PNW Optimal Health is Carolyn Wise, ARNP who has been providing advanced registered nurse practitioner services in Yakima Valley since 1999 holds a master’s degree in nursing from Gonzaga University Primary care and emergency medicine experience has enabled Carolyn to discover a special interest in health issues due to lack of lifestyle modifications such as maintaining a healthy body weight or balancing thyroid hormones. She supervises the completion of the treatment plans and provides support to the patients through an approach identifying the causes of weight gain and finding solutions through the comprehensive wellness plan.
GLP-1 and Medical Weight Loss Programs
PNW Optimal Health has weight loss plans supported by medical professionals, including GLP-1 medications when they are supported by proper clinical med. levels of these drugs can help achieve weight loss through the management of appetite, the delay of digestion, and improving blood glucose levels. These programs use a combination of medication management and lifestyle-based strategies to ensure that the patient loses weight gradually but safely.
All programs include a customized treatment plan based on patient-specific criteria, including health history and specific goals and continuous monitoring with ongoing behavioral support. In addition, all programs integrate nutrition counseling, activity guidance, and stress management to maximize long-term success. Typically, if an individual has a BMI of 30 or higher or has a BMI of 27 or higher with a weight-related disease, then they will be eligible for GLP-1 therapy.
