East Beach Urgent Care of Virginia is a family oriented, urgent care and primary care clinic located in Norfolk, VA. Our compassionate team provides fast and quality, non-life threatening care to patients, while avoiding long wait times in a traditional emergency room. Whether you need help with a minor injury or illness, or require a flu shot, vaccine, x-ray or lab work, we can provide all of these services. Walk-ins are welcome, and appointments are also accepted for new patients of all ages.

In addition to traditional Urgent Care services, we now offer a medically supervised weight loss program featuring semaglutide GLP1 medication to assist patients with appetite control/support weight loss.

East Beach Urgent Care employs only licensed healthcare professionals (physician assistants and nurse practitioners) to provide urgent and preventive medical treatment. Our clinical staff is dedicated to delivering patient-centered care utilizing an individualized approach throughout evaluation, treatment & support to promote safe and effective outcomes for our patients.

GLP-1 and Medical Weight Loss Programs

East Beach Urgent Care offers a medically supervised weight loss program using Ozempic (semaglutide), which is a GLP-1 medication for both weight loss and Type 2 diabetes management. Semaglutide facilitates gradual weight loss by helping patients feel full a lot sooner, minimizing their cravings, and slowing down how quickly the stomach empties when combined with dietary and exercise changes.

To participate in the program, each patient receives an initial consultation with one of the clinic’s providers to discuss their health history, their lifestyle, and what their weight loss goals are. Each patient will be provided a specific treatment plan created by the provider that will have monthly appointments with the provider to monitor their progress and help with continued support throughout their weight loss journey. The prescription for semaglutide will be entered into Lilly Direct, and Lilly Direct will make sure the medication is delivered directly to the patient’s home, with mandatory in-office follow-ups every 3 months at a minimum.

Weight Loss Program Pricing

Patients are responsible for making their own payments for the weight loss program, and follow the providers’ orders through a billing system independent from health insurance. The first provider visit (i.e. weight loss consultation) with the patient will cost $99 and will last 30 minutes and will continue on a monthly basis for $99 per month for the provider’s support and check-in. The price that the patient will be charged for the supply of semaglutide (e.g., monthly supply) will be approximately $499, which will be charged directly to the patient through Lilly Direct rather than through the clinic.
