
Dr. Jeffrey L. Eakin, MD is a board-certified general surgeon who specializes in minimally invasive gastrointestinal, bariatric and robotic surgery. He also has an interest in trauma surgery, and the management of the critically ill surgical patient.
Dr. Eakin undergraduate degree is from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. He obtained his medical doctorate at The Ohio State University College of Medicine. After medical school he completed a surgical residency in general and trauma surgery at The Ohio State University Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio. During his residency, he became very interested in bariatric surgery and surgical techniques which minimized the size of the patient’s surgical incisions. Thus, he completed a fellowship in minimally invasive, robotic and bariatric surgery at the Center for Minimally Invasive Surgery at The Ohio State University Medical Center.
