Alfredo Fernandez:A specialist in laparoscopic procedures since 1990, Dr. Alfredo Fernandez is also an advanced general surgeon and a bariatric specialist. He is an undergraduate from the University of Miami. He received a medical degree from the Dominican Republic and general surgery at the Alton Ochsner Medical Clinic, New Orleans, Louisiana. Dr. Fernandez is a board-certified bariatric surgeon. He has 32 years of experience. Currently, he is the director of bariatric surgery at Carrollwood.
Marco Antonio Rajo: A general and bariatric surgeon in Carrollwood, Dr. Marco Antonio Rajo is a board-certified surgeon. He is trained in weight loss surgery and obesity medicine. He is also an expert in complicated gastrointestinal surgery. He is a specialist in laparoscopic as well as robotic techniques.
Naga Thatimala: Dr. Thati is a board-certified bariatric surgeon from the American Board of Surgery. He is an expert in Bariatric Surgery. He is the current Medical Director of the Advent Health Dade City Bariatric Program. Under his supervision, the Bariatric Program at the Advent Health Dade City achieved national accreditation from the Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Accreditation and Quality Improvement Program. He completed a surgical residency at St. Francis Medical Center, Trenton, and St. Louis University Hospital, Missouri. He also completed advanced laparo-endoscopy fellowship training.
Salvador D. Ramos II: Dr. Salvador Ramos is a bariatric surgeon with fellowship training in minimally invasive techniques. He is an expert in da Vinci robotic techniques. He successfully performed more than 1500 bariatric procedures to date, including sleeve gastrectomy, gastric bypass, duodenal switch, gastric banding, conversion, and revisional surgery. He is available at the Ocala facility.
Juan C. Gutierrez: Dr. Juan is another board-certified general surgeon who specialized in both general and bariatric surgery procedures. He is also certified in robotic surgery. He performs gastric bypass, duodenal switch, and sleeve gastrectomy in Ocala. He is a dedicated surgeon with several accreditations and memberships.
John Dietrick: Dr. John Dietrick specializes in bariatric surgery. He is a certified bariatric surgeon from the American Board of Surgery. Presently, he is the Medical Director at the Advent Health Bariatric and Metabolic Institute, Tampa. He has three decades of experience in performing surgeries and patient care. He endorses holistic lifestyle practices. He established the Surgical Weight Loss Institute, Florida Hospital Tampa, which is now called the Advent Health Tampa Bariatric and Metabolic Institute.
John Paul Gonzalvo: Certified by the recognized America Board of Surgery, Dr. Gonzalvo specializes in adolescent and adult bariatric surgery. A resident of Tampa, he is dedicated to contributing to the overall health of the community of Tampa Bay. He completed a fellowship from the American College of Surgeons as well as the American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery.
Michael Murr: Dr. Michael Murr is also a bariatric surgeon certified by the eminent American Board of Surgery. He has more than 30 years of experience in helping people regain good health by offering a healthy and nurturing environment. He follows an interdisciplinary approach to provide personalized care to his patients. He founded the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery, Florida State Chapter.
Michale P. Latzko:Dr. Latzko is another board-certified and fellowship-trained surgeon based at Sebring. He has a decade of hands-on experience. He was an integral part of launching the Bariatric and Metabolic Program at the Advent Health Sebring.
