Overview
Lemonaid Health offers an online national healthcare service that utilizes technology to make healthcare easier for everyone by providing virtual consultations and prescriptions through physicians online, access to doctors and ongoing support by doctors. Lemonaid Health’s telehealth service includes weight loss programs, mental health care, sexual health care, hair loss care, and primary care doctor visits.
The Lemonaid Health Weight-Loss Program is designed around medically approved weight management and weight loss through telemedicine consultations with physicians; physician review of medical history; physician assessment of treatment options; physician agreement on a treatment plan; and prescription options when appropriate. Lemonaid Health facilitates a remote consultation for patients’ convenience, with the goal of enabling patients to continue to receive medical support from physicians.
Medical Director
Dr. Chelsea Elizabeth Wickenheiser is a physician who provides medical services via the Lemonaid Health Telehealth platform. Dr. Wickenheiser is a Family Medicine Physician, one of Lemonaid Health’s licensed medical providers, who reviews patient information, develops treatment plans based on clinically appropriate treatment options and provides medical follow-up through telemedicine.
GLP-1 and Medical Weight Loss Programs
Lemonaid provides medically supervised assistance for weight loss through the use of GLP-1 drugs. Their process starts with an online health assessment of each person, which is done by a Lemonaid-affiliated healthcare provider, at the time of which a thorough review of the person’s medical history, weight loss goals and other essential aspects of their health will be done in conjunction with determining whether they qualify for the weight loss program or not.
Depending upon which drugs are available at the time, Lemonaid provides members with GLP-1 medications that may include Wegovy, Ozempic and Zepbound. Alternatives to GLP-1 medications will also be provided at the discretion of the individual’s health provider if these are deemed appropriate. It should also be noted that some individuals will not be able to receive GLP-1 medications due to reasons that may include a history (endocrine, G.I., cancer related, etc.) that may prevent them from getting these medications for health safety reasons.
Weight Loss Program Pricing
To fund their continued weight loss program, patients are required to pay a monthly membership fee of $49. The medications that are prescribed by their healthcare provider will be billed separately from these fees. The prices for these medications vary based upon the individual medication prescribed by the health provider. Below we have given you a few examples of available medications and their respective prices:
Zepbound vials: approximately $349. per month (LillyDirect, cash pay to be arranged for medication).
Metformin: approximately $90 for 3 months.
Ozempic: approximately $1,199 per month.
Wegovy: approximately $1,599/per month.
