Medical Director

Dr. Mark Dubinski received his Doctor of Medicine degree from UMDNJ. After securing his medical degree in 1992, Dr. Dubinski opened Carolina GI Associates, PC, in Henderson, NC; he opened Carolina Weight Loss in 2010. As an expert in gastroenterology and hepatology, Dr. Dubinski provides medical oversight for the clinic’s weight-loss programs. Diane Varnadore, NP-C, is the Managing Director at Carolina Weight Loss; she is a nurse practitioner with a BSN degree.

GLP-1 and Medical Weight Loss Programs

Carolina Weight Loss, a provider of medically-supervised weight-loss treatments, offers the newest medications available. Treatments at Carolina Weight Loss include available GLP-1 based medications, such as Wegovy/Semaglutide and Zepbound/Tirzepatide, as well as other prescription options as prescribed. If appropriate, these medications are included in personalized weight management plans based on individual assessments.

Patients who select to use Semaglutide-based medications may find that use of these types of medications can provide benefits such as decreased appetite, reduced cravings, increased feelings of fullness, supported fat loss, and improvement in metabolic health markers. Tirzepatide works with both GLP-1 and GIP hormone pathways to support weight management by controlling appetite and supporting weight-control efforts.

Weight Loss Program Pricing

The cost to see a new patient is $100, which covers a weigh-in, review of health history, assessment of diet history, nutritional planning, discussion about weight management options, and consultation regarding supplements and prescriptions. Carolina Weight Loss does not bill insurance and will accept flexible spending accounts (FSA) or health savings accounts (HSA). The cost for ongoing programs, medications, injections, and customized treatment plan will vary depending on the patient and their selections.
