Dr. Wegner, MD, FASMBS, is a board-certified general surgeon with more than 15 years of experience. He handles on an average 400 weight loss cases per year and specializes in laparoscopic gastric bypass, laparoscopic gastric sleeve, and converting laparoscopic gastric bands to gastric bypass with only one surgery.
Dr. Wegner did his Medical Degree from the Medical University of the Americas. He completed his General Surgery Residency from the University of Illinois at Chicago. For his Fellowship Training in Bariatric surgery, he went to the University of Iowa.
