
Dr. Volckmann’s other areas of clinical expertise include: diagnostic and interventional flexible upper endoscopy, laparoscopic surgery for complicated gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), hiatal hernias, achalasia, and abdominal wall hernias. Dr. Volckmann’s research interests include studying the effects of bariatric surgery on inflammation, nutrition, and gastroesophageal reflux disease.
Dr. Eric Volckmann graduated from University of North Carolina School of Medicine medical school in 2002 and fellowship from The Ohio State University Medical Center, Minimally Invasive Surgery Fellow.
