Overview
Renewed Vitality provides personalized healthcare solutions in the form of medical weight management, bioidentical hormone replacement therapy, thyroid care, age management, chronic fatigue and fibromyalgia support, as well as functional medicine for those living in and around Richardson and greater Dallas/Fort Worth, who want to address the underlying condition of their health concerns instead of simply treating the symptoms.
Renewed Vitality combines medical evaluations, labs/testing, lifestyle guidance/counseling and an individualized treatment plan to provide the best possible weight management program. To do this, Renewed Vitality determines the patient’s hormonal balance (including thyroid levels) and any other existing medical conditions that will affect the patient’s ability to lose weight.
Medical Director
Renewed Vitality is led by Dr. Wm. Marcus Spurlock, MD, who has over 35 years of medical experience to bring to the clinic as a Board-Certified Family Physician practicing integrative medicine, weight management (obesity), thyroid disorders, chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS), fibromyalgia, chronic viral syndromes, and bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (HRT).
Dr. Spurlock is a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians and a member of both the American Academy of Environmental Medicine and the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine. He received his M.D. from Louisiana State University School of Medicine, Shreveport, Louisiana and completed his residency training in Family Medicine with Louisiana State University.
GLP-1 and Medical Weight Loss Programs
Renewed Vitality specializes in medically supervised weight loss programs, with a focus on GLP-1-based medications, including Semaglutide. According to Renewed Vitality, Semaglutide works by being a GLP-1 receptor agonist. That means it will help you manage your appetite, increase your sense of fullness, decrease how quickly food leaves your stomach, and help you regulate your blood sugar.
Each patient who enters the Semaglutide weight loss program will start with a consultation from a nurse practitioner who will evaluate the patient’s health (medically and psychologically) and develop an appropriate treatment plan, including dietary and lifestyle recommendations. Follow-up appointments will allow the nurse practitioner to monitor your progress. In addition, laboratory testing (including blood panels and thyroid testing) is used to help tailor treatment plans.
Renewed Vitality also provides the Vitality weight loss program, which combines hormone balancing (for females) and HCG-related protocols, nutritional guidance, and medical monitoring.
Weight Loss Program Pricing
Renewed Vitality does not publish pricing for GLP-1 medications and all weight loss programs on their website. Renewed Vitality does provide patients the opportunity to schedule a free phone consultation with Renewed Vitality to discuss protocols, medical records, and cost of each weight loss program based on each patient’s individual requirements.
Patient Reviews
Renewed Vitality uses a variety of Google and Yelp reviews to promote patient satisfaction, and also encourages patients to share their experiences. Online public review sources show that many patients comment positively about the personalized approach to patient care and how much emphasis is placed on finding the medical reason behind why a person is having difficulty in managing their weight.
