Overview
In 2006, Bayview Pharmacy became established, as a family-owned compounding pharmacy located in Warwick, Rhode Island. Bayview Pharmacy creates customized prescription medications specifically designed for individual patients, when commercially available medications cannot be used due to health concerns, allergies, etc. Bayview Pharmacy has sterile and non-sterile compounding laboratories, and provides services to patients throughout Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, New Hampshire and Florida. Bayview Pharmacy collaborates with healthcare professionals to create personalized medications for specialty areas such as hormone replacement therapy, skincare, chronic pain management, men’s health, women’s health, vision, oral health, veterinary medicine and hospice care.
Medical Director
The founder/owner is Ryan D. Dyer, RPh; a licensed pharmacist and the Pharmacist-in-Charge at Bayview Pharmacy. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from the University of Rhode Island and has over 20 years of experience specifically in the field of compounding pharmacy. Ryan Dyer and his wife Christine are the founders of Bayview Pharmacy and Ryan plays an active role in providing excellent patient care through sterility compounding. Ryan’s experience and expertise in customizing medications has established Bayview Pharmacy as one of the top compounding pharmacies in the area.
GLP-1 and Medical Weight Loss Programs
Bayview Pharmacy performs as a compounding pharmacy rather than being strictly a medical weight loss clinic by providing custom solutions for medically compounding medications while being able to work with prescribers across the country; however, they do not advertise (on their website) a GLP-1 (e.g. Semglutide, Tirzepatide) weight loss programme or medically supervised weight loss programme. Health care practitioners have the ability to prescribe the compounded medication with Bayview Pharmacy if the health care practitioner feels it is medically indicated and meets current regulatory requirements. Individuals who wish to learn about GLP-1 (e.g. Semaglutide, Tirzepatide) medication therapy should contact a qualified health care practitioner about their eligibility and the treatment options available to treat their condition.
Weight Loss Program Pricing
Bayview Pharmacy does not post pricing rates on their website for GLP-1 (e.g. Semaglutide, Tirzepatide) medications, weight loss consultations or medically supervised weight loss programs. Because compounded medications are made-to-order for every prescription, the cost varies based on the dosage, formulation, ingredients and how items are sent by shipping method. Prospective patients should call the pharmacy directly for current pricing and availability.
Patient Reviews
Patients generally seem to have good feedback on both Google and Yelp as they try to represent their experiences with Bayview Pharmacy. Many positive reviews represent satisfied patients that have received knowledgeable information and patient-oriented service through the highly qualified staff associated with each medication to the successful completion of the prescription. Many customers mention how staff members understand their patients’ needs and take the time to work with them in finding the appropriate medication solution when other pharmacies will not provide assistance.
