Medical Director

The clinical care provided by Denton Family Practice Clinic is led by Harveer Parmar, MD, who is a board-certified physician specializing in family medicine. Dr. Parmar earned his medical degree from Dayanand Medical College in India and completed his residency in family medicine at Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri. He has been certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and is affiliated with several healthcare networks including Baylor Scott & White Medical Center.

Dr. Parmar oversees all aspects of patient care and programs including the weight management program services, while ensuring evidence-based, individualized treatment plans that meet the unique health care needs of each patient.

GLP-1 and Medical Weight Loss Programs

Denton Family Practice Clinic has weight-management programs that are led by a doctor and consist of weight-management medications along with weight-management coaching. Each person’s program will be based on their personal goals, medical history, and metabolism.

The clinic provides several different weight-loss treatments, including:

Semaglutide – an injectable medication that helps with appetite control, improves blood sugar control, and provides long-term weight loss.

Tirzepatide – a dual-action drug that helps improve metabolism and decrease hunger.

Phentermine – a prescription medication that suppresses appetite to help you lose weight.

Phentermine and Topiramate – take both medications to help reduce appetite and increase satiety.

MIC (Also known as lipotropic) injections – improve metabolism and provide energy.

Patients will have a complete medical exam, which includes evaluating lifestyle, nutrition, and underlying issues contributing to weight gain. Once the patient has completed this evaluation, a customized plan, including medication (if appropriate), nutrition counseling, and continuing medical care, will be developed. Patients have the option of using telehealth to meet with providers and receive their medication.

Weight Loss Program Pricing

The clinic does not publish its prices for its weight-loss programs. Any pricing will be strictly based on the patient’s individual treatment plan and may consist of a consultation, medication, injections, or a follow-up visit.
